Writing this post has been surprisingly hard. After the wonderfully
amazing reactions to my last two personal posts I've been wanting to write to
say I'm moving on from blogging and just trying to crack on with my new life
and recovery. However, as my blog has been such a huge part of the last five
years of my life it's been kind of hard to do.
I loved writing about fashion and the latest beauty trends but it just
doesn't suit me anymore. I think every blogger comes to a point in their
writing career where the suddenly realise they've totally grown out of what
they're doing.
So, I started to think maybe I should give up writing altogether.
There's been so many huge changes in my life lately; my career, my home, my
health that I felt as though I was too different now to carry on writing about
who I was, but then it hit me. Why quit altogether when I can just change my
blog style along with me.
So, I've launched this new more honest platform with less of the
superficial 'top 5 beauty brands you must try' and more of the 'wtf am I doing
with my life!?' posts. Not to say there's anything wrong with beauty posts as I
love reading them, they're just not my priority anymore!
The name is based on something I hear a lot and, if you’re a fellow
Alice, you probably hear a lot as well. If you’re reading the title of my new
page and have no idea what it means literally just google the phrase and you’ll
be presented with a very popular song from the 90’s….do not start singing it to
Alice’s you know personally, they won’t appreciate it.
So yep, here we are and away we go! I hope you all support me in this
new adventure, I’ve moved the two posts that changed my blogging perspective
onto the new page and I’d just like to say thank you so much again for your
wonderful support and reactions to them. Your posts on Twitter and Instagram
really inspired and moved me and I’m so glad the posts had an impact on so many
of you.
It was also nice to see that so many people are going through the same
things as me and that I’m not alone. From those posts, I’ve developed a
wonderful new handful of friends and a great support network and I’m so happy
to say that I’ve been able to help other people like me. Hopefully I can help a
lot more.
Thanks for your understanding and kindness. Until next time – Alice x
